I guess the recent storms left a lot of fallen trees, debris, and saw dust. I had one instance of iffy understeer (sawdust or dirt) pacing a Miata and I overcooked entry speed on another corner that has a hump in the road before the turn. That one was scary! Had the surface been anything other than grippy I would have kept going straight, a 60-70ft drop would have awaited. I tried to scrub my speed before the hump but realized I hadn't dumped enough and had to brake at the exact same time I was turning in. I also realized that the first time I ran this road, at night after it rained with patches of fog was maniacally stupid and should never ever be recreated! I never got to see the lack of well, anything at night. Bonehead move then. Today was fantastic!
